Samantha’s favourite memories involve travelling around Kenya.

From sleeping under the stars - with only a canvas tent between her and the wild, to horse riding through dusty grasslands. Kenya wasn’t just home; it was a place of wonder, alive with magic. 

Years later, that childlike awe still lingers. What began as passion grew into purpose, shaped by a single observation: indigenous people led the experiences that defined Kenyan travel – but not the industry itself. Driven by love for her home and desire to centre indigenous voices in the Kenyan travel industry, Essence of Kenya was born.
